The Dolder Meets St. Moritz

It’s not a secret that The Dolder Grand is one of #59’s favourite city hotels anywhere in the world. One of the reasons is that this historic landmark continually reinvents itself and comes up with great projects devised by its brilliant marketing team. Every year we celebrate our Christmas holi- day just outside St. Moritz and on the way we always make a stopover at The Dolder Grand in Zürich. So this year we could enjoy a taste of their latest winter project: ‘Dolder Lodge meets St. Moritz’. The hotel bar had been transformed into a perfect ski lodge and you definitely felt like you were on the slopes in St. Moritz. The winter atmosphere with chic retro design from St. Moritz had a menu featuring wonderful Alpine food se- lected by Chef Fine Dining, Heiko Nieder. It would have been too easy to go for a fondue, so we ordered ‘Kasnudeln’ with white truffle & beurre noisette; ‘The Lodge Cordon Bleu’ with mountain potato foam and beef tartare with herbs, roasted garlic and Belper knolle. Simply delicious, and accompanied by an interesting and exclusive wine selection from the Bündner Herrschaft and topped off by the impeccable service provided by manager Pablo. What a great way to start our holiday. We are looking forward to next year’s winter pop-up project!
