Villa Cosy, Saint-Tropez

While I was planning this road-trip, my friend Yvo van Regteren Altena, travel writer and perfumier, gave me an enthusiastic phone call from a new property in Saint-Tropez called Villa Cosy and suggested that I might like to highlight it. Having stayed over the years in all kinds of wonderful properties in Saint- Tropez, I decided to check it out in the first week of the ‘deconfinement’ in France. Villa Cosy is a really peaceful hideaway but less than a five-minute walk from the town centre and the Place des Lices. The architecture has the feel of a Zen resort somewhere in Bali. It offers 23 rooms and suites. Some are located around the pool area, while others offer greater privacy. It’s also the perfect place for families, who can book a villa, and because the suites are located above each other, they can bring their nanny and cook if they wish. Guests can order breakfast in their room and enjoy it in their garden or on their terrace. Villa Cosy is definitely an asset in the competitive hospitality market of Saint-Tropez and in this new era its tranquillity and privacy will certainly attract many travellers.
